No Change In NE Indiana Unemployment From January To February

(INDIANAPOLIS) – There was hardly any change in the unemployment rate for Northeast Indiana from January to February.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says LaGrange County remained at 3.8% unemployment. Steuben County stayed at 4.4%, while Elkhart County remained at 4.6% and DeKalb County stayed at 3.9%.
The only change was in Noble County, going from 4.3% in January to 4.1% in February.
The lowest unemployment in the Hoosier State for February was Union County, dropping from 3.5% to 3.2%. Howard County had the highest unemployment in Indiana at 7.1%, which was down from 7.3% in January.
Northern Indiana cities also saw a drop in their unemployment. Elkhart went from 5.5% to 5.4%, while Goshen dropped from 5% to 4.6%. Fort Wayne saw a slight increase from 4.2% to 4.3% from January to February.
