Angola golf team finishes third at Sectional

(KENDALLVILLE) - The Angola boys golf team will head to the Regional meet after finishing third at the East Noble Sectional at Noble Hawk Golf Club, shooting 317 on the day. Leo was Sectional Champion with a 278 and Carroll finished second with a 304. Both Leo and Carroll also advance to the Regional. In addition, DeKalb finished fifth (329), Fremont was sixth (335), Central Noble was seventh (339), host East Noble was eighth (340); Eastside ninth (356), Churubusco finished tenth (360), Garrett was 11th (378) and Hamilton was 13th (428). Angola was led by Reed Lantz with a four over par 75. Individually, Braxtyn Chamerlain of Eastside shot a 73 and advances to the Regional as an Individual as does Carter Overbay of Garrett who carded a 75. In other individual action; Easton Armstrong of DeKalb shot 78; Jake Hilvers of Fremont shot 76; Nickluas Freeman led Central Noble with a 79; Lucas Lemmon of East Noble shot an 80; Corbin Conger shot 85 to lead Churubusco; Eli Ferrel led Hamilton with a 96.
