(ANGOLA) - An Angola woman faces a felony charge following a domestic dispute.

The Herald Republican reports Marlo A. Gilbert, 57, of the 700 block of West Mill Street, was arrested at her residence and charged with Level 5 felony intimidation with a deadly weapon.

Police were called at 8:29 p.m. Sunday to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of West Mill Street. An officer reported seeing two people in a garage and ordered them outside at gunpoint.

According to court documents, Gilbert denied having a knife, but the alleged victim told police he wrestled the knife away after she threatened to kill him. Officers later found the knife where he said he left it.

The man declined to file a complaint, telling officers he still loved her and did not want her to go to prison.

Police said Gilbert was highly intoxicated and was taken into custody.

After a medical evaluation at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Gilbert was booked into the Steuben County Jail without incident.

If convicted, she faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
