Cheryl Westenkirchner joins Andy St. John on WLKI 100.3 to invite you to be part of one of Hamilton's most unforgettable traditions, the 33rd Annual Jack Gibson Memorial Scholarship Polar Bear Plunge.
The Plunge will happen on New Year's Eve, Wednesday, December 31st at 2:00 PM at the Hamilton Public Beach. There's no cost to participate, and every donation goes directly to the Jack Gibson Memorial Scholarship Fund, helping local students in Hamilton and Garrett.
You'll also learn how the Hamilton Lions Club supports the community throughout the year, how the Hamilton Fire Department helps keep everyone safe during the plunge, and how you can donate or get involved even if you decide staying warm is more your style.
Whether you're ready to run into icy water, cheer from the shore, or simply make a donation, this event is all about coming together as a community to honor a beloved educator and keep a 33-year tradition alive.
